Gentili Soci,
Con la presente desideriamo trasmettervi il comunicato della UEG relativo ai prossimi European Digestive Cancer Days.
Dear Colleagues! Dear Friends!
It is with great pleasure to invite you to the European Digestive Cancer Days 2017 from Monday, 25 – Wednesday, 27 September 2017 in Prague. Together with Ladislav Dušek, Director of the Institute of Health Information and Statistics of the Czech Republic the UEG Public Affairs Committee has put together an exciting program and renowned experts in the field will teach national and international audience on Prospects and Challenges in Prevention and Screening.
The programme starts on Monday with a symposium in Czech language on prevention, screening and early diagnosis of serious diseases in the light of current evidence and practical experiences.
The international symposium in English language starts on Tuesday where we address Pancreatic Cancer as the main challenge and talk about burden, prevalence and prognosis and possible better diagnosis and treatment options. We will discuss what other digestive cancer is next to be screened and find out what are the priorities.
We continue on Wednesday to discuss about implementation of CRC screening programmes, differences in European countries and in response to it elaborate why we have different levels of participation in Europe. We talk about cost-effectiveness and choice of screening programme methods and parameters for monitoring. We will revise what we have learned so far with quality assurance and logistic organisation and finally obtain views how to get governments and other stakeholders involved.
Do not miss out the opportunity to attend and please spread the word. Registration will be free and more information and a detailed programme is published here: http://www.cancer-days.eu/
I greatly appreciate your assistance in announcing and promoting this important gathering within your membership and we would be delighted to see you all in Prague in September.
With kind regards,
